There’s Never Been a Better Time to Get a Job in the Cannabis Industry

The ēLearn Cannabis Academy’s on-line certificate introduces “Gold Standard” for dispensaries selling cannabis-based products

Scottsdale, AZ – At a time when more and more Americans are either out of work, underemployed, or simply dissatisfied with their current jobs, the economic and political landscape has made a dramatic shift in favor of cannabis dispensaries and careers.

The Scottsdale-based ēLearn Cannabis Academy, a division of the ēLearn Academy, has partnered with leaders and experts in the online learning and legal cannabis industry to launch topcdt.com, one of the most comprehensive and complete training, education and credentialing programs available in the market.

“With the growth of CBD across the United States, and marijuana legal in 33 states and DC with more to follow, the industry is projected to hit over $30 billion in sales by 2024,” said Chris Spinella, the ēLearn Academy Co-founder and CEO. “As the industry grows, so grows the need for today’s “budtenders” to transform into tomorrow’s Cannabis Dispensary Technicians (CDTs).”

In fact, despite the economic downturn, the industry has continued to climb during the COVID-19 pandemic. According to the online cannabis retailer Eaze, the number of first-time purchases of cannabis has climbed more than 50% since March 2020.

“Whether someone is looking for work, a different job, or is finally ready to turn their passion for the plant into a successful and fulfilling career, there has never been a better time to become a TēCA Cannabis Dispensary Technician,” said Prof. Robert Cochrane, the ēLearn Academy’s Learning Architect.

”And with TēCA’s industry-leading Tē3 training approach,” Cochrane added, “every student decides the pace and method of learning that works best for them.”

Earns First IAS Training Providers and Training Course Developers Accreditation for Cannabis Industry

TBrea, California – The ēLearn Cannabis Academy (TēCA), a division of the ēLearn Academy, is the first cannabis- related training and curriculum development organization to be accredited through the International Accreditation Service (IAS) Training Provider and Training Course Developers (AC371) program.

When asked about the importance of accreditation, Robert Cochrane, Chief Learning Architect for the ēLearn Academy said, “Legitimate accreditation is the future of the industry. Training, education and credentialing are vital to providing greater professionalism, consistency and standardization in the cannabis and CBD industries. Our goal is to prepare knowledgeable cannabis dispensary technicians (CDT) by providing the most comprehensive and detailed employee training program available anywhere. The IAS approach aims to ensure that accredited training programs prepare trainees to be efficient and competent to meet the needs of industry, regulators and consumers. It strengthens the professional and academic reputation of training programs.

Dr. George Anastasopoulos, IAS Vice President of Global Development & Compliance welcomed TēCA’s AC371 accreditation as the first of its kind that solely focuses on the training and curriculum development for the cannabis sector, setting an international benchmark and a best-practice model.
